Local Guide started with a simple idea: visitors deserve honest recommendations, and the best local businesses deserve to be found. Menus change, owners change, seasons change — so instead of copying lists from the internet, we walk the harbours, eat at the tavernas and talk to the people behind the counter.

Yes — browsing the guide and the recommendations are completely free for visitors. You pay the businesses directly for whatever you book or order, with no markups and no booking fees.
How are the places chosen?
Every listing is hand-picked and checked by people who live locally. We visit, we ask around, and we only include places we would honestly recommend to friends.
Do businesses pay to rank higher?
No. Placement tiers exist for visibility features, but they never change which places we include or what we say about them. Curation and ranking integrity always come first.
How does my business get listed?
